Benefits of Yoga

Benefits of Yoga

The word yoga means “to join or yoke together” and combines the practice of movement, breath work, and meditation. High Places Yoga centers these three things around Christ and focuses on filling our minds with the truth of God’s word. As Christians, we recognize that God created our bodies, God Created breath, and God calls us to meditate on His Word day and night.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8

All three components of yoga are combining what God created to glorify and honor Him. In Luke 10:27, Jesus calls us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.” And Acts 17:28 says, “For in him we live and move and have our being.”
